Framedly collects no personal data. It has no accounts, analytics, tracking, or advertising, and makes no network requests to us.

Your recordings never leave your Mac. A recording is a folder of ordinary files in your Movies folder, and exporting writes another file beside it. There is no upload, no shareable link, and no server for one to live on.

Captions are transcribed on your Mac by the system speech recogniser, so what you said is not sent anywhere to be turned into text.

Screen recording, camera, microphone, speech recognition and input monitoring are asked for by macOS when a feature needs them, and are used only for that feature. Deleting the app leaves your recordings where they are, because they are your files.
